Editor’s Note: Not letting injury keep him from contributing to his team, Cabrini’s freshman attackman Nick Vass grabbed a camera and spent the season documenting his school’s awesome 2014 run! Check out his story and killer video at the bottom!
Nick Vass is a freshman from California who currently plays attack for the Cabrini College Cavaliers. In the first week of second semester practices, Nick tore his ACL and meniscus.
The team as a whole had a total of four ACL tears this season and the bond that the team shared through the season as players went on to have major knee surgeries, it just all needed to be documented. Instead of just standing around on the sidelines, Nick decided to bust out his GoPro camera and he began to film the team.

Cabrini College is a private school located in Radnor, PA, just minutes from Villanova and a 20 minute train ride from the heart of Philadelphia. The school has much to offer on and off the field, which not only connects students to the school, but to the city as well.
The Cavaliers opened up the season ranked 6th in the nation. The squad had the best start in program history, kicking it off with an impressive 11-0 run. Cabrini also saw the highest ranking of the year as they moved forward to face Salisbury, being ranked as the #2 team in the nation.
The program finished the season 17-2, losing to a powerful Salisbury University, who would go on to play in the National Championship, and losing to the 2013 National Champions, Stevenson University, in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Holding opponents to under 30 shots and 8 goals a game, Cabrini was led by a total of 7 All-Americans including D3 Player of the Year, Corey Elmer. Two Cavaliers were also recognized for being Scholar All-Americans.
