We got dozens of great responses, which you can check out below, but four overarching themes stood out:

Nolan Sachs, D, Manheim Township (Pa.)/Low and Away Premier, 2015– Sachs is committed to Towson University and has nice size (6-0, 170 lbs.) and range. Sachs was clearly the top defender of the day while leading his Low and Away Premier squad to the fewest goals allowed in 2015/16 pool play.
Cody Richter, A, West York (Pa.)/Black Dog Legacy, 2017 – A member of the Black Dog Legacy program, Richter is a tenacious lefty attackman who has an excellent shot and is a fearless dodger despite his small stature. Richter is uncommitted and will be one to watch as he continues to mature physically.

LAX STACHE MADNESS PICKUP GAME - 11/22


Harrisburg Lacrosse will be hosting an indoor box lacrosse pickup game to benefit Lacrosse Mustache Madness and the HEADstrong Foundation on Saturday November 22nd. The game will be held at the Yellow Breeches Sports Center in New Cumberland from 1:00-3:00pm.

Proceeds from the event will benefit HEADstrong foundation and their efforts to improve quality of life for cancer patients and there families as well as supporting those working to find a cure.

There will be a fee to play and donation bins at the event. We will also be hosting a get together immediately following the game. Additionally we will have prizes and giveaways fro players and fans at the game.

YOUTH CLUB LACROSSE EVALUATIONS


The Grizz Lacrosse Club will be holding evaluations for U9, U11, U13, and U15 boy's lacrosse players on January 3rd. These will be held at the Yellow Breeches Sports Center from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

HELPING RYAN WIN


Ryan Arevalo (7) was diagnosed September 3, 2014 with a Brain Tumor.

Coach Rodney Tamblin, West York HS Boys Lacrosse Head Coach, had the idea to create a LAX DAY to help raise funds to help the Ryan and his family with daunting task of affording the medical bills and keeping a standard of living for their family. We are asking for York County Lacrosse Community to bond together on November 1st, 2014 for a full day of lacrosse events at York Suburban Trojan Field.



Schedule:
 9 am-1130 am:
COACHES CLINIC with Brandon Childs and York College Men's Lacrosse team for Live Demo of practice skills and drills to help coaches perfect player skills and knowledge.

12 noon - 3pm:
YOUTH  CLINIC with several of YAIAA Coaches, players and a few possible former players that are playing at college level. Possibly other special quest. We will have chances to win door prizes and event prizes like fastest shot and best trick shot.

3pm - 5pm:
HIGH SCHOOL SCRIMMAGE - Open to 9th through 12th grade. Players want to get in a little fun and play with teammates and chance to play with some of their opponents that they will see in spring. Great Fun..Again we will have a fastest shot and trick shot competition.

The Trinity Shamrocks lacrosse program has some openings in their 2015 schedule for out of conference opponents.

They are interested in 1-2 additional games at their field this upcoming season which they would then reciprocate in 2016 (if interested).

MESSIAH COLLEGE ANNOUNCES NEW SYNTHETIC TURF LACROSSE FIELD



Grantham, PA – Messiah College announced plans for a new synthetic turf field in the Starry Sports Complex, a move that should have an immediate, positive impact on the Falcons' men's and women's lacrosse programs. The entire project is split into three phases, with Phase One to cost 1.3 million dollars and include the field itself, fencing, a scoreboard, and underground wiring for future lights and fiber optics;

Phase One is currently underway with anticipated completion in time for the Spring, 2015 seasons.

"We're thankful for the support of the College and numerous donors who have committed financial resources and enthusiasm to this project," Messiah College Director of Athletics Jack Cole said. "This field will immediately enhance our lacrosse programs and the experience of our student-athletes. We're really excited for this giant step forward."

SPRING TEAM FOR U13 AND U15 PLAYERS



The Harrisburg Academy is accepting new players for U13 and U15 lacrosse teams this spring.

Each year, the Academy hosts spring lacrosse teams for both U13 and U15 student-athletes.  As members of the team, students learn from highly motivated and passionate coaches through fun and competitive drills and team play.  

New and experienced players are welcome.  

The Academy Athletics Office will be hosting a Registration Open House for lacrosse on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 7-8:30 p.m in McCormick Auditorium.
