The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of US Lacrosse announces the Inaugural Hall of Fame class at the Event Dinner Sunday, January 29, 2017 with keynote speaker, Penn State lacrosse coach Jeff Tambroni, and Master of Ceremonies, CBS21 WHP’s Tom Russell. The public is invited to celebrate and recognize those who have pioneered the game in Central Pennsylvania. All are welcome. Women and men who led the way, broke new ground, and contributed to make the game great in Central PA will be honored.

The inductees are:
- Ms. Chris Allen, pioneered the girl’s game in Berks County
- Mr. David Heisey, pioneered the boy’s game in Dauphin and Cumberland Counties
- Mr. Sid Jamieson, pioneered the men’s game at Bucknell University
- Mr. Richard Lefever, pioneered the boy’s game in Lancaster County
- Ms. Carol Venet, pioneered officiating and the girls game in Cumberland County
- Mr. David Webster, pioneered record setting lacrosse at his alma mater, Dickinson College

“This will be the first time lacrosse enthusiasts across the sport will convene - from colleges, high schools, rec teams, travel clubs, and officials’ associations - to celebrate The Creator’s Game,” notes chapter president, Richard Hergenroeder.

Lacrosse in Central Pennsylvania ranks among the fastest growing sports in the PIAA. Membership in the Central PA Chapter has grown 30 percent in two years to 6,135 members. The game was first played by Native Americans, hence the nickname “The Creators Game.” The public is invited to Inaugural Hall of Fame Dinner Event at the Sheraton Harrisburg/Hershey Hotel Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 5 pm.
