Mid Penn Report 3/24 (Catch Up)

Below is review of this past weeks/weekends scores and highlights.

Mid-Penn Report

Friday's Games (3/21)

Cedar Crest 12 vs Bishop McDevitt 11 (OT)
- Nick Sucaniac scores for the Crusaders with little time left in the 4th to send it OT. Cedar Crest ends up getting the win.

Carlisle 18 vs Penn Manor 2
- George Faller led the way with 8 goals, Max Breschi and Jon Mundell follow...ed with 2 a piece. The Herd took care of business as expected.

Hershey 18 vs Elizabethtown 2
Logan Calhoun, Steve Lapore, and Matthew Stewart all had 3 goals in a very well distributed scoring attack from Hershey. 11 players put the ball in the net for the Trojans.

Trinity 15 vs Lower Dauphin 5
- Trinity led LD 10-5 headed into the 4th quarter when they put the game out of reach. Connor Bailey and John Miller each had 3 goals. Jesse Altmeyer, CJ Sherlock, and Kyle Scott all had 2 goals to cap off a great opening night at home for the Shamrocks.

Mechanicsburg 5 vs Conestoga Valley 5 (2OT)
- Mechanicsburg led 5-0 in the 3rd, Conestoga Valley scored 5 unanswered to send it to OT. Aaron Heisey led the Wildcats with 3 goals including the game winner.


Saturday's Games (3/22)

Bishop McDevitt 2  Lampeter-Strasburg 12
- Coming off Friday's heart breaking OT loss the Crusaders fall to 0-2 against a tough Lampeter Strausburg squad.

Palmyra 11 Conestoga Valley 6
- Palmyra opens up the season with a win lead by Joey Hess who recorded 5 goals and 3 assists.

Northern York 5 Susquehannock 8

Parkland 8 vs State College 1
- State College drops the first game of the season on the road out of conference. They'll look to bounce back on Tuesday when Mid Penn league opponent Mechanicsburg comes up to State College.

Red Lion 22  Central Dauphin East 2
- East is hoping for a better season than last year, but a 22-2 defeat from Red Lion is not a promising sign.

Trinity 11 Warwick 3
- The Shamrocks move to 2-0 after back to back wins on Friday and Saturday. John Miller led the effort with 4 goals and senior Mitch Kliest stepped on the scene with a 3 goal performance. Another solid defensive performance from Trinity led by Senior and Holy Cross commit Tim Hickey. John Behnke and Preston Whiteman are also in their senior year and look to hold down the fort with Junior Austin Bailey between the pipes.
