MID PENN REPORT - 3/27

SCORES

CD EAST (0-2) at HERSHEY (1-0)
- Coming off a 22-2 loss to Red Lion the Panthers were hoping to bounce back and get their season headed in the right direction. Maybe not a win, but a competitive game (or half) and this could be a positive match for CD East in terms of building for the future. That did not happen.
Hershey has made it clear all off season that they are a team on a mission and unfortunately for East they were first up. The Trojans jumped out to 12 nothing by the half and hit cruise control the rest of the way. Led by senior Logan Calhoun who had a hand in 10 Trojan goals (5 goals, 5 assists) for a 10 point day. Jake Wilson followed with 4 points on 3 goals and 1 assist. Normally in a shut out you see a stand out performance in the net by one goalie and his defense, the Trojans were able to rotate three different goalies in on this effort.
Tonight Hershey takes on Central Dauphin on the road and looks to establish themselves as top dog in the Keystone Division early. Hershey and CD are the only undefeated teams remaining in the division and the winner of this game will have a vital one game lead on the other. Every game matters in the divison winner championship format (we'd need a whole new article on that topic if we go any further into it.)
