MID PENN REPORT - 4/12/14

CARLISLE 13 CHAMBERSBURG 6
- The Herd moves to 8-0 with another quality win over Chambersburg. The day belonged to Jon Mundell as he posted another impressive stat line with 4 goals and 2 assists. The score was 3-2 at the half when Carlisle took over out scoring the Trojans 10-4 in the second half with 7 unanswered goals in the third quarter alone. Four other Carlisle players managed to post two goals a piece in a diversified offensive effort. JT Jopple led the day for the Trojans with 3 goals. This the most goals scored on the Herd all season as no other squad was able to score more than 3 to this point.

TRINITY 17 CEDAR CREST 2
- The Shamrocks kept pace with Carlisle winning their out of conference game against Cedar Crest. The scoring started early for the Rocks and continued through out the game. 3 goals in the first minute of play led to an 11-2 halftime lead and an eventual 17-2 victory. Trinity had just had two close MP games and many were wondering if they would be able to regain their early season form.
John Miller,. Kyle Scott, Connor Bailey, and CJ Sherlock all managed to find three goals a piece showing the multiple scoring options Coach Heisey has at his disposal.

ELIZABETHTOWN 7 LOWER DAUPHIN 4
- E-Town jumped out early and never looked back. Up 6-1 at the half the final score in this one appeared closer than it actually was. The Falcons were coming off their Thursday night upset of State College and had hoped to keep the momentum going forward against a team that had varying success against Mid Penn opponents. The Bears opened the season 0-6 but have now stormed back to win 5 straight games. Led by Gage Bootay on the day (3 goals, 1 assist) they have turned their season around quickly. LD struggled to find a dominant scorer in this one as no player had more than 1 goal.

CUMBERLAND VALLEY 13 PENN MANOR 5
- The Eagles have put together very nice back to back wins outscoring their opponents 27-5. A tough opening schedule is behind them and this is a team that will only get better as the season progresses. Nick Zumbrum led the day with 4 goals and four other players followed with 2 goals a piece providing a very well rounded day for coach Bogazyck and crew. Nic Brown looks to have solidified his position as the started with a 10 save day.
