MID-PENN PREVIEW - CD EAST

2014 Team After Defeating Mifflinburg

CD EAST PANTHERS
Keystone Division
Head Coach Aaron Blanding
Overall Record: 1-16    Mid-Penn Record: 0-12

For the Panthers 2014 proved to be a difficult spring. An early season groin injury to Senior Will Gingrich (Christopher Newport University) took away one of their top players and placed them in a very tough spot the rest of the way. Senior Midfielder Chrystian Hess did his best to lead with 14 goals and 2 assists on the year. He will be hard to replace as their go to player on both sides of the ball.

The Panthers showed tremendous resolve as they defeated Mifflinburg in their final game of the season 5-4.

Looking ahead to this spring this is a program that needs to continue to build with a focus on fundamentals and development. Not much is known on their 2015 roster so it will be interesting to see who takes on the role of offensive and defensive leaders. Historically East has had some good season at the beginning of their program and a few years back earned victories over Palmyra and Lower Dauphin.
