MID-PENN PREVIEW 3/26

Another jammed pack day in the Mid-Penn as 12 of the leagues 13 teams play in conference games.

HERSHEY (1-0) AT TRINITY (1-0)
Trinity faces another tough opponent after Tuesdays come from behind victory over CD. The Shamrocks will look to avoid the first half slow start as they face one of their more difficult match-ups of the season. Offensively look for Jesse Altmeyer to continue to distribute while Mark Mandack and the Hergenroder brothers (Mark and Steve) look to score. Hershey's Jake Wilson had a monster day with 7 goals on 1 assist as the Trojans opened strong against State College at home. This will be an early test on the road for Hershey.

CENTRAL DAUPHIN (0-1) AT CHAMBERSBURG (1-0)
Chambersburg looks to get to 2-0 after a fantastic come from behind victory against McDevitt on Tuesday. Look for Jake Pierson and Grant Swisher to be heavily involved in the offensive game plan. For CD this is a prime opportunity to erase memories of their loss to Trinity. Damien Koussis and Chris Martin will be a big part of their attack.

MORE AFTER THE BREAK

CARLISLE (1-0) AT PALMYRA (0-1)
Carlisle kept Lower Dauphin at bay in their opener and will face a Palmyra team looking to get a big win at home. For the Herd we expect Drew Amsley to stay heavily involved and also for Sophmore George Faller to start pushing to be a larger part of the scoring. The Cougars managed 3 goals against and CV and will need to get more points on the board in this one.

NORTHERN YORK (1-0) AT LOWER DAUPHIN (0-1)
Northern York lead the MP in the first games with a 19 goal performance over CD East. Lower Dauphin surprised a lot of people when they were able to come with in one goal of defeating Carlisle. This will be a good a barometer for seeing which of these teams can contest for their respective divisions this spring. The Polar Bears will look to Andrew Sade (9 goals) and Derrick Myers (6) to continue the high scoring. The Falcons will need Junior Brennan Forester to build on his 4 goal performance.

CUMBERLAND VALLEY (1-0) AT MECHANICSBURG (0-0)
The Eagles aim to continue on their march for the Commonwealth Division against the Wildcats. Rod Jamieson, John Miller, Jeff Hamlin, and Stevie Peters should factor heavily in the game plan. For the Wildcats it will be interesting to see how the program has developed this off season. Look for Juniors Reagan Pritchett and Sam Shipman to be around the ball all afternoon.

STATE COLLEGE (0-1) AT CD EAST (0-1)
The Little Lions head on the road again in hopes of getting their first win  at CD East. Brady Franks should be in for a big day.
