SPRINGFIELD (DELCO) 9 HERSHEY 8 (OT)
The Mid-Penn Champion's season came to an end Wednesday night in dramatic fashion. In a game twice delayed by lightening the Trojans trailed 7-3 in the 4th quarter when they put together a 5-1 run and a Brook Briggs scored the game tying goal to send it to over time. Unfortunately the deciding goal would go to Springfield and end Hershey's season in the first round of the PIAA playoffs for the third straight year. A remarkable season that saw Coach Schein's squad go 22-2, undefeated in the Mid-Penn during the regular season as well as undefeated out of conference, and another Mid-Penn Championship. A great year for the program and it's seniors. One of the more talented groups we have seen come through the area.
