RADNOR WINS PIAA LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIP

RADNOR 11 ST JOES PREP 10 (OT)

A remarkable conclusion to the PA high school season on the biggest of stages. Junior Midfielder Jack Wilson scores a goal for the ages in overtime to deliver Radnor their first ever PIAA Title.

A close game early saw the lead switch hands as Radnor would get the 3-2 lead to end the first quarter. The Red Raiders would extend their lead to 5-3 until a pair of late goals by St Joe's had things even at 5-5 headed into halftime. Radnor would regain control ending the third quarter up 8-6. With Just over 4 minutes left in the game Radnor lead 10-8 when the Hawks found clutch goals from Griffin Fleming and Stephen Tobia at the 2:10 mark to tie it up at 10 a piece. In overtime neither team could get the game winner and Radnor called time out with a little less than a minute reaming. With 44 second left in the OT Drew Ryan fed Wilson on the right side for the game winner.

Ryan would lead all scores with 4 goals and 2 assists for the Raiders. Kevin Stump led the Hawks with 3 goals and 1 assist.
