The Bill Belichick Foundation Supports First Stick Program

Bill Belichick Foundation Supports First Stick Program

BALTIMORE — The Bill Belichick Foundation has recently made a gift to the US Lacrosse Foundation in support of the US Lacrosse First Stick Program.
Last year, over 5,600 youth lacrosse players from 37 states benefitted from the resources of the US Lacrosse First Stick Program. Funds from the gift from The Bill Belichick Foundation will be used in the Greater New England area.
“Coach Belichick’s love for lacrosse is well documented,” said Susie Chase, vice president, US Lacrosse Foundation. “We are honored that he has chosen to support US Lacrosse and our efforts to expand the opportunities for children to play this great sport.”
The US Lacrosse First Stick Program provides comprehensive support to youth lacrosse programs through a two-year partnership to help them become self-sustaining. The program includes equipment grants, access to coaching education resources, discounted US Lacrosse membership for participants, and other developmental assistance.
“We were attracted to the opportunity to support US Lacrosse’s First Stick Program because we could support both youth lacrosse players and new coaches through educational programs that can help grow the sport,” said Head Coach Bill Belichick. He added, “The First Stick Program aligns nicely with our mission to provide coaching, mentorship and team building experiences.”
