HERSHEY 9 CUMBERLAND VALLEY 8
Incredible game between the two best teams in their respective divisions Tuesday night. A tight one through out saw CV get the opening score off a John Miller (3 goals) dodge and shoot and the score would eventually be knotted at one by the end of the first quarter. Cumberland Valley would get their only lead of the evening on a Jeff Hamlin (3 goals) score headed into the half up 4-3. Karl Van Blargen (4 goals) would tie the games up early in the 3rd and things would stay close until Michael Gadd (2 goals, 1 assist) found the back of the net and put Hershey up 8-6 mid way through the 4th quarter. Hershey would have the 9-7 advantage with just over two minutes to play when Devin Heckman got his first score of the game to bring it to 9-8. A furious final 2 minutes saw the Trojans hold on for the win and maintain their undefeated record at 15-0. Great defense from both squads with Thomas Arentz and Jack Donaghue delivering standout performances.
CARLISLE 6 CENTRAL DAUPHIN 5
The Herd moves to 8-4 in their 6th one goal game of the season (5-1). The score was 2-1 at the half in a defensive battle when Carlisle found some separation going up 5-2 headed into the final frame. The Rams worked to come back but could not find the goal needed to send the game to OT. Chris Martin would lead all scorers with 3 goals for CD.
