MID-PENN PREVIEW 5/4

PALMYRA (8-8) AT LOWER DAUPHIN (9-6)
The Falcons are gunning for their first ever District III playoff appearance and currently sit one spot out at at 17. They have been on a great run winning 8 of their last 10. They will play back to back games to finish the season with Palmyra today and CV Tuesday. Look for Garrett Schug to continue to play well. For the Cougars they have also bounced back nicely in the second half of the season winning 6 of their last 7. They are in must win territory as they sit at #22 in the District Rankings. We expect strong play on the defensive end from long pole Tyler Gallagher and goalie Nick Sheriff.

TRINITY (12-3) AT BISHOP MCDEVITT (2-13)
The Shamrocks have been playing tremendously well as of late and will continue to build momentum for their District Playoff run. They Currently sit 9th but should be moving up after Saturdays victory over Red Lion (5th). Junior attack-man Jesse Altmeyer leads the Mid-Penn in assists at 51 (with 23 goals as well) and facilitates for numerous scorers on the offensive end. For the Crusaders they continue to fight despite their record in a season that was had it's share of difficult defeats (4 losses by a combined 5 goals). Junior Nick Lokitis will lead their offensive attack. This game also marks the first Trophy Game between the two clubs as they play for the George Gonzalez Cup in honor of the longtime Harrisburg Academy Head Coach.

MORE GAMES AFTER THE BREAK

CENTRAL DAUPHIN (6-10) AT NORTHERN YORK (5-10)

At 27 (CD) and 30 (Northern) in the most recent D III Power Ranking both squads more than likely will miss out on post season play. For the Rams a 4-2 start has turned into a difficult run losing 8 of their last 10 games. For Northern it has been the reverse as a 2-7 start has seen them battle back winning 3 of 6 down the stretch. Both teams will continue to fight to finish line. For CD keep an eye on Damien Koussis and for the Polar Bears Derek Myers and Andrew Sade have been a great 1-2 combination all season.

ELIZABETHTOWN (7-8) AT HERSHEY (16-0)
The Trojans aim to continue their march to a perfect season as they close out with E-Town today and are at Northern tomorrow night. They hold the #1 seed in District III and will play CV on Thursday in the Mid-Penn Title game as they have won their 6th Keystone title in 7 seasons and will be playing for their 5th Mid-Penn Title in the past 7 seasons. Jake Wilson and Brook Briggs are both tied atop the league leaders in points at 83. For the Bears this will be their final game of the season as they try to finish with a winning record. Three of their last four games have gone to OT.
