MID-PENN PREVIEW 4/16

LOWER DAUPHIN (5-5) AT CENTRAL DAUPHIN (5-4)
The Falcons travel on the road to play Keystone Division rivals Central Dauphin Thursday night. LD has won 4 of their last 5 with a dominant 13-3 victory over McDevitt on Tuesday night. Garret Schug and Michael Yarrish are serious offensive threats who can hurt you from the outside or work to get the ball to the interior. CD will look to main their second place standing in the division with solid defense and Damien Koussis and Chris Martin on attack.

CHAMBERSBURG (3-5) AT CARLISLE (5-3)
The Herd aims to bounce back after Monday's loss at Trinity as well as end their current two game skid. Carlisle has not been nearly as dominant as years past and this could be a great opportunity for Chambersburg to get their first win over the Herd in the programs history (0-8). Drew Amsley (16 goals, 14 assists) and George Faller (14,13) will need to continue to produce for the Herd's offense. Jake Pierson (24,6) and Grant Swisher (17,7) have been excellent this spring and will be a real test for the opposing defense.

PALMYRA (2-7) AT BISHOP MCDEVITT (2-6)
Two teams struggling to gain wins as the spring moves forward  will square off in what will be a game both hope to win. Palmyra will continue to lean on stand out Junior long-pole Tyler Gallagher on defense with Trevor Frye and Ethan Gain leading the offense. Nick Sheriff has played well in the cage for the Cougars as well. The Crusaders lost some momentum Tuesday night when their two game win streak was halted by LD and will look to get back on track with attack-men Nick Lokitis and Griffin Hanes leading their offense.

MORE GAMES AFTER THE BREAK

TRINITY (6-2) AT NORTHERN YORK (2-6)
The Shamrocks will follow up their big win over Carlisle with a road trip against the Polar Bears who have been a difficult opponent for them in season past. Dating back to their Wolfpack and Academy days Northern holds the series edge 7-2, although Trinity was won their last two meetings. Look for the Rocks to continue to use a host of offense weapons led by key assist-man Jesse Altmeyer. Andrew Sade and Derek Myers will be intregal to Northern's offensive success.

STATE COLLEGE (5-4) AT MECHANICSBURG (2-7)
The Little Lions will make the long trip to memorial stadium to face Commonwealth opponent Mechanicsburg. Brady Franks will push to keep State College above .500 as he faces Reagan Pritchett at long pole for the Wildcats. Mechanicsburg has had a tough couple losses against York Suburban and Hershey while their goalie was out with an illness. They'll look to get back on track Thursday night at home.

CD EAST (0-8) AT HERSHEY (8-0)
Hershey should be in control of this one as we see two programs at different points in development. The Trojans have been dominant all spring and have an eye on the District III title. For East it is about player development and finding the right pieces to put things together moving forward.
