MID-PENN REPORT 4/14



LOWER DAUPHIN 7 CENTRAL DAUPHIN 4
 After the Rams got the early 1st quarter jump going up 3-0 LD dug in and would outscore them 7-1 the rest of the way. Nick Mattis scored 3 goals on the night for the Falcons a stat made eben more impressive by the fact he typically plays LSM. Lower Dauphin makes a serious statement in the Keystone Division. They have rebounded from a 1-5 start to win 4 of their last 5. LD will host Hershey at home on Tuesday.

TRINITY 13 NORTHERN YORK 3
After a slow first quarter saw the Shamrocks up 1-0 Trinity jumped out in the 2nd frame to take a 6-1 lead into the half. They put the game away in the 3rd going up 11-1. Another very healthy night in the box score for the Rocks as 8 different players found the back of the net led by Mark Hergenroeder (3 goals) and Mark Mandack (3 Goals). For a young Polar Bears team dealing with some injuries, and a couple early close losses, this season is turning into a difficult one as they now have dropped 6 of their last 7 games.

CARLISLE 17 CHAMBERSBURG 6
The Herd rebounds nicely on the road following back to back losses to move to 6-3. Carlisle led 7-1 by halftime and put the game away in the 3rd quarter going up 12-2. Ryan Godfrey had a monster evening with 4 goals and 3 assists for Carlisle. Godfrey has 8 goals in his last four games. Jake Pierson led the Trojans with 3 goals on the night. Chambersburg will look to bounce back on Monday against Boonsboro.

MORE GAMES AFTER THE BREAK

PALMYRA 11 BISHOP MCDEVITT 2
The Crusaders had the early 2-1 lead but it would be all Cougars from there. Taking a 4-2 lead into the half the 3rd quarter would be the deciding one as Palmyra would score 7 in the frame. Josh Shoemaker had a monster night with 5 goals and 1 assist while Eric Thomas distributed with 1 goal and 4 assists. Palmyra's stout defense led by Tyler Gallagher and Goalie Nick Sheriff made things difficult for McDevitt all night.

STATE COLLEGE 11 MECHANICSBURG 2
The Little Lions move to 6-4 as they win on the road scoring the first 10 goals on the game. Good games by PJ Bachman (3 goals, 3 assists) and Brady Franks (4 goals, 1 assist). The Wildcats welcome Andrew Butz back into the net with 8 saves. Both their goals came from long poles Reagan Prtichett and Hollywod Ruch.

HERSHEY 18 CD EAST 0
The Trojans roll to 9-0 as 11 different players were able to score in this one. Brooks Briggs led all scores (3 goals, 4 assists) with Warren Zeiders (3 goals, 3assists) and Jake Wilson (4 goals) also having nice afternoons.
