MID PENN PREVIEW - 4/4/14

TRINITY (4-0) at EXETER TOWNSHIP (2-2) 7:00PM
- Coach Heisey and the Rocks have their second reschedule of the week due to field conditions at COBO. This time the game was not cancelled but moved to Exeter. We've written about complications due to winter weather before and one has to hope that this will not put Trinity at a disadvantage later in the season.
The Shamrocks are making a strong play for the Commonwealth division and will now take a on road test to improve their district seeding hopes and also better themselves for the April 16th match-up with the Thundering Herd.
Exeter Township plays in PA-Berks and has loss two straight contests. As far as power rankings go (not an ideal barometer) the Shamrocks should be favored in this. Out of conference games can be hard to figure out on paper but at this point Trinity is expecting to win any game they play in.
Led by Junior midfielder John Miller (16 goals, 5 assists) and a terrific defensive unit with Senior Tim Hickey, Trinity has an excellent chance to put more of PA lacrosse on notice that they are in it for the long haul.

MECHNICSBURG (2-2) at EASTERN YORK (3-3) 6:00PM
- Coach Brisbane and the Wildcats look to continue to fight and improve despite a number of injuries to their squad. After losing three starting seniors the Cats showed determination in gaining their first Mid Penn win on the road at East.
They'll go out of conference against good Eastern York team who has fought some tightly contested games. The Golden Knights and score having 59 goals on the season. The big question will be if Mechanicsburg's offense can keep pace.
