MID PENN PREVIEW - 4/9/14

NORTHERN YORK (2-2) at TRINITY (5-0) 7:30pm
- The Polar Bears have only played 2 games in 15 days. Four postponements due to weather and field conditions have caused them to miss games with Palmya, McDevitt (twice), and Trinity. This contest looks like it will finally be played at COBO were the Shamrocks have had their weather related issues as well.
Northern has been largely untested in the MP only playing and beating LD 9-8 in over time. If that game is any indicator of where they stand they could be in for a long day against the Shamrocks. Coach Hesiey and company had a difficult time getting their first win over Northern when they beat the Polar Bears 6-4 in 2013. Heisey is 1-4 dating back to his time at the Harrisburg Academy (before the program moved to Trinity). This very well could be his most experienced and talented squad in that time with a terrific defense and well developed scoring options from the midfield. Look for junior Johnny Miller and senior Connor Bailey to get the offense going while senior defenders Tim Hickey and John Behnke hold down the other end of the field. If they hope to compete for the Mid Penn Title they must win the Commonwealth and need to win at home tonight.
