MID-PENN PREVIEW 4/7

CUMBERLAND VALLEY (5-0) AT STATE COLLEGE (3-2)
With Trinity losing CV has some breathing room for the Commonwealth but obviously needs to continue to win for control of their own destiny and the Commonwealth Division. For State College a lot will hinge on  Brady Franks (11 goals, 6 assists) and PJ Bachman (8,7) as they look to extend their win streak to four games. For the Eagles the long road trip provides a challenge but their senior leadership, depth on offense, and solid defensive play should ensure they are prepared.

CHAMBERSBURG (2-2) AT LOWER DAUPHIN (2-4)
The Trojans have had all sorts of games already. A close win over McDevitt, OT loss to CD, blowout loss to Hershey, and a blowout win over CD East. LD should be more in line with the earlier games in the tightly contested middle part of the Mid-Penn. Look for Chambersburg to continue to lean on Grant Swisher and Jake Pierson. The MP's #3 scorer resides in Hummelstown and will be a critical component to LD's game plan in Garrett Schug (15 goals, 7 assists).

MORE GAMES AFTER THE BREAK

PALMYRA (1-4) AT TRINITY (4-1)

Trinity has to go back to back after a difficult loss to Hershey. Palmyra earned their first win of the season in a thumping of Garden Spot. The Cougars will look to carry the momentum on the road Tuesday night while the Shamrocks aim to rebound quickly. For Palmyra Trevor Frye has returned with authority scoring 6 goals in two games. Trinity has a lot of players who can score and Sophomore Steve Hergenroeder is quickly becoming a name to watch.

MECHANICSBURG (1-2) AT CENTRAL DAUPHIN (3-2)
The Rams, like many teams in the MP, have seen their fair share of one-goal games already (3) with their most recent bought being a 1 goal loss to Governor Mifflin. They will look to get back on track at home against the Wildcats. Mechanicsburg has had two tough losses to CV and Carlisle and will be aiming to show this is a different squad than in seasons past,

BISHOP MCDEVITT (0-4) AT HERSHEY (4-0)
Hershey is also playing back to back after a hard fought victory against Trinity Monday night. They will need to stay on point as they face a Crusader team whose record is deceiving as they have three one-goal losses. Jake Wilson and Brook Briggs will work to continue their offensive dominance while McDevitt will need Nick Lokitis and company to step up to the task.
