MID-PENN REPORT 4/11



CUMBERLAND VALLEY 13 PENN MANOR 5
The Eagles roll to 8-0 with a strong out of conference win today over the Comets. The Eagles jumped out to a 6-1 halftime lead and sealed the game by out scoring Penn Manor 7-1 in the third quarter for a commanding 13-2 lead. John Miller had another big day with 4 goals which was matched by teammate Devon Heckman who had only scored three times leading up to today's game.

HERSHEY 10 PARKLAND 4
By Hershey's 2015 standards this was a tight game. Leading 3-1 at the endof the first quarter they were able to extend that lead to 6-2 by the half and effectively hold the lead the rest of the way. Another big day for Jake Wilson (5 goals) and Brook Briggs (4 goals, 1 assist) as they cared the Trojan offense.

HEMPFIELD 16 CARLISLE 7
Hempfield moves to 10-0 with a dominant win over the Herd handing them their second loss on the season. The Black Knights are establishing themselves as a serious contender for the district three title. Colby Smith (7 goals) and Zach Ward (3 goals) provided the offense fire power for Hempfield.

DALLASTOWN 8 AT CENTRAL DAUPHIN 4
Dallastown, lead by Cade Gold (3 goals, 1 assist) was able to put 2 scores on the Rams in each quarter. Having a 4-1 lead  at the half they were able to ride that pace to victory. The Kousiss brothers, Damien and Nick, would have a 1 goal and 1 assist each for CD.

STATE COLLEGE 7 FRANKLIN REGIONAL 6
The Little Lions saw their 4-2 halftime lead disintegrate as FR went a 4-0 run in the third. State College showed excellent mental toughness as they battled back to regain the lead and the win. Monster day for Senior Brady Franks who had 5 goals and 1 assist.

LAMPETER-STRASBURG 9 PALMYRA 6
Palmyra's 3-1 first quarter lead was taken over by the Pioneers who went on an 8-1 run in the second and third quarters. The Cougars tried to battle back in the fourth but could not make up the ground. Ethan Gain would lead Palmyra with 2 goals and 1 assist. Tyler Gallagher had another dominant performance on defense for the Cougars as he shut down LS's leading point scorer Max Warmingham (29 points on the season) most of the afternoon.

CENTRAL YORK 14 NORTHERN YORK 2
All Central York early and often in this one. The Polar Bears will look to regroup for Tuesdays game with State College. Derek Myers tallied both of the Polar Bears scores.

MECHANICSBURG 5 FRANCIS SCOTT KEY SCHOOL 4
The Wildcats get win number two on the season by one goal in the first part of a double header they participated in today.

NEW OXFORD 8 MECHANICSBURG 3
Up 3-1 at the half Mechanicsburg lost the momentum as New Oxford scored 7 unanswered goals in the second half for the come from behind victory. This game was the Wildcats second of the day as they participated in a tournament.
